About
Lauren Neal is an award-winning actor, filmmaker, data scientist, and technical artist. She is a graduate of Brown University’s Department of Theatre Arts & Performance Studies and the University of Virginia’s School of Data Science. Lauren's work interfaces with nascent technologies and mental health matters: where neural networks meet neurodivergence meets NeRFs. She was the driving creative force behind Cannes-selected microbudget feature “Under the Influencer,” the first film of its kind to ethically leverage generative AI technologies for a narratively relevant purpose. She has served as a creative partner and/or adviser for Luma AI, RunwayML, enGEN3, and Leonardo.ai, in addition to supporting the USC Entertainment Technology Center’s R&D with full and hybrid generative workflows.
