Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 7, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information Machine Cinema collects when you use the hub at hub.machinecinema.ai(the “Platform”), how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Platform you agree to this Policy.
1. Who we are
The Platform is operated by Fantastic Day Corporation, a Wyoming corporation doing business as “Machine Cinema” (the “data controller”). You can reach us using the “Report an issue” link in the footer of any page, or at machinecinemasupport@fantastic.day.
2. Information we collect
- Account information. When you sign up, our authentication provider processes your name, email address, and profile photo, and creates the account identifiers we use to recognize you.
- Profile & content you provide. Information you add to your profile (bio, links, location, crafts, tools) and content you upload or post, including films and images. Uploaded films are processed and streamed through our video provider.
- Usage & device data. Through analytics we collect how you interact with the Platform — pages viewed, features used, approximate session information, browser and device type, and similar diagnostic data.
- IP address & approximate location. We capture your IP address and a coarse, IP-derived location (such as city and country) for security, abuse-prevention, and analytics. This is used administratively and is not shown on your public profile.
- Events information. If you attend Machine Cinema events managed through our events provider, we may match your event email to your account to show your attendance and community connections.
- Campaign entries. If you register for a contest, tournament, challenge, or campaign, we collect your entry details — such as your country, handle, and your submission.
- Support requests.When you use “Report an issue,” we collect your message, the email and name you provide, and the page you were on, so we can respond and debug.
- Cookies & local storage. We use cookies and browser storage for essential functions — keeping you signed in, remembering your theme, and app-install/session state — and for analytics (see below). Pages that embed third-party content (for example, YouTube or Vimeo players and X or Instagram posts) may allow those providers to set their own cookies when the embed loads, under their own privacy policies.
3. How we use your information
- to operate, maintain, and secure the Platform and your account;
- to display your profile and content and power community, films, events, and perks;
- to communicate with you — transactional messages, and, where you have opted in, event and community updates;
- to understand usage and improve the Platform, and to prevent fraud, spam, and abuse.
4. How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it with service providers who process data on our behalf under data-processing agreements, and only as needed to run the Platform — providers of authentication and account management; hosting, database, and content delivery; video upload, processing, and streaming; product analytics; email delivery; community events; internal operations; and payment processing, where payments apply. You can request the current list of providers at machinecinemasupport@fantastic.day.
Campaign partners & sponsors.Some contests, tournaments, challenges, and campaigns (for example, the Director's Cup, sponsored by OpenArt) are run together with a partner or sponsor. If you choose to register for or enter one, we may share with that campaign's partner the information needed to run and promote the campaign — such as your name, handle, email address, country, and your submission. The campaign's published rules describe this sharing for that campaign; a partner's further use of your information is governed by those rules and the partner's own privacy policy.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of Machine Cinema, our members, or the public. If we are involved in a merger or acquisition, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
5. Your choices & rights
You can review and edit your profile, control your profile's visibility, adjust notification preferences, and delete content or your account at any time. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights — if you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, see Section 6; if you are a California resident, see Section 7. To make a request, email machinecinemasupport@fantastic.day.
6. If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland
Where the EU or UK General Data Protection Regulation (or the Swiss FADP) applies, Fantastic Day Corporation is the data controller and processes your personal information on these legal bases:
- Performance of a contract— to create your account and provide the Platform's features, including running contests, tournaments, challenges, and campaigns you choose to enter (Sections 2–4);
- Legitimate interests — to secure the Platform, prevent fraud, spam, and abuse, understand usage, and improve the product, where those interests are not overridden by your rights;
- Consent — for optional communications such as event and community updates, which you can withdraw at any time;
- Legal obligation — where we must retain or disclose information to comply with law.
In addition to the choices in Section 5, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a portable copy of your personal information; to object to or restrict processing based on legitimate interests; and to withdraw consent at any time (without affecting earlier processing). To exercise these rights, email machinecinemasupport@fantastic.day. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. Because we are based in the United States, your information is processed there, and we rely on appropriate safeguards — such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses — where required (see Section 10).
7. If you are a California resident
The California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA) gives California residents specific rights. In the last 12 months we have collected the categories of personal information described in Section 2 — identifiers (name, email address, IP address, account identifiers), internet activity (how you use the Platform), coarse geolocation (city/country derived from IP), audiovisual information (content you upload), professional information you add to your profile, and inferences limited to product usage — from you, your devices, and the service providers described in Section 4, and used them for the purposes in Section 3.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined by the CCPA. We disclose personal information to service providers bound by contract to use it on our behalf and, when you choose to enter a partnered campaign, to that campaign's partner or sponsor as described in Section 4.
You have the right to know and access the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, and not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. You (or an authorized agent with your written permission) can make a request by emailing machinecinemasupport@fantastic.day; we will verify the request through your account email before acting on it.
8. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Platform, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When you delete content or your account, we remove it within a reasonable period, except for limited backups and records we are required or permitted to keep.
9. Children
The Platform is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, if higher), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. International transfers
Machine Cinema is based in the United States, and our service providers may process your information in the United States and other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers, such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
11. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice where appropriate.
13. Contact us
