Director Statement I built the film's visual identity in ComfyUI around SDXL latent upscale, for its analog, cinematic texture. The foundation was my own Sonoran Desert photography, which trained the LoRa models I then animated in Vidu Q2. The challenge was holding a 1970s 35mm aesthetic with a modern blockbuster feel: storyboards, LoRa trained from scratch, every input hand-built frame by frame. I also built a fictional Native language from historical tribal dictionaries and composed two songs in it, a tribute to tribes history silenced. All sound was made in Eleven Labs. Made in full compliance with EU and Polish copyright law, documented for human authorship. Two months of work, a 9.5-minute film, ~750GB of iterations. AI was a tool under human direction, never a substitute for authorship. My second documented AI film. The first screened at Marché du Film, Cannes 2025. All rights reserved by Michał J. Owerczuk.
