The Locked Room

The Locked Door (working title) is an animated short film in development exploring a century of abortion criminalization in the Philippines and the private realities that exist behind the law. Moving across generations of Filipina women, the film uses painterly AI animation and visual poetry to connect hidden histories of unwanted pregnancy, unsafe abortion, Catholic faith, guilt, survival, and bodily autonomy.
